Foxdrive Transplanter


This semi-automatic transplanter has been specifically designed for transplanting vegetables , flowers and nursery seedlings with bare roots or peat balled roots with a conical, pyramidal or cubical shape, typically used for the planting of large and small seedlings such as Cauliflower, Cabbage, Tomato, Bare root plants

The transplanter is a modular design.  Each transplanter unit is mounted on a tool bar.  The transplanter machine is configured for planting 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 rows by mounting the desired number of transplanter modules onto a suitably sized tool bar with the module positioned at the desired inter-row spacing.  The tool bar incorporates a driveline which is powered by ground-engaging wheels which ensure the transplanter operation is synchronised with ground travel.  The inter-plant distance is set by the selected gear setting in the driveline mechanism.

DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

The operator is seated above each transplanter module within easy reach of the plant boxes.  The operator puts the seedlings into the finger grips which gently places the plants into the furrow.

DRIVELINE

The ground-engaged wheel provides the driving mechanism for the transplanter system ensuring each planting action is accurately synchronised with the ground travel along the planting beds.
Rear Wheel
  • Rear ridging wheels drive the transplater

PLANTING UNIT

The planting unit is mounted on the tool bar with a springframe which provides a tension to counter-balance the weight of the planter, reducing ground pressure, which enables the planter to consistently float along the plant bed. The rear press wheel provides continuous traction whilst covering the seedling that has been planted in a precise upright position.

The planting mechanism is synchronised with the ground travel to accurately maintain the pre-set inter-plant spacing of the seedling into the furrow in a smooth coordinated action. The trailing packing wheels then press the soil around the seedling.

Front Press Wheel
  • Adjustable Front Press Wheel.
  • Optional disc Kit for High Trash - is shown between front press wheel and ploughshare.
  • Optional clod separator can be fitted before the ploughshare.
Swing Shoe
  • Swing down ploughshare for easy cleaning of soil build up from the seedling cells.
Finger Grip
  • The plant is place in the finder grips before being placed gently in the furrow..
Adjustable wheel
  • 3 way adjustment on the trailing packing wheels for all soil conditions
  • The packing wheels maintain accurate planting depth
